Behind The Scenes of The PCM Strategy
The average person does not understand that the classic brokerage houses’ and financial institutions’ “buy and hold” methodology simply does not work for some. With the “buy and hold” methodology, folks have no idea where they will be in 5, 10, 15, or even 20 years. The average investor finds himself holding what what we refer to as “A Hope and A Prayer Portfolio.”
Consumers don’t know how to build themselves a retirement system. They listen to misinformation. The facts they hear may be skewed. We believe that consumers, being the CEO of their households, need to hire their own personal CFO to help with this.
As a personal CFO for clients, PCM advisors don’t go in and take over and make all the decisions. Rather, we support our clients and we give them the information so that they can eliminate myth, misconceptions, and incorrect facts in their planning process. Once we’ve done that, those clients to make more informed decisions that are based on logic and fact as opposed to myths or misconceptions.
With this goal in mind, we focus our planning process on a five finger system designed to develop the comprehensive strategy that pre- and post-retirees need to help become successful with their retirement planning.
